Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about diagnostic fees, repair invoices, memberships, and payments.
Why is there a diagnostic/service call fee?
The fee pays for travel, fuel, inspection, and professional diagnosis. It protects the technician from driving and diagnosing appliances for free.
How is the service call fee calculated?
The standard diagnostic fee is $89 within 30 miles. After 30 miles, $1 per additional mile is added before any applicable tax.
Does the diagnostic fee pay for the full repair?
No. It covers the visit and diagnosis. If SWTJK Repair completes the repair, the diagnostic fee may be credited toward the final invoice.
What happens if the appliance cannot be repaired?
The technician will explain the issue and recommendation. The diagnostic fee remains earned because the travel and diagnosis were completed.
Can I pay with cash or check?
Cash may be accepted and logged by SWTJK Repair. Checks are only accepted from approved customers with a signed check-payment agreement on file.
What is the Priority Care Membership?
It is a monthly or annual service membership for priority scheduling, member discounts, and plan benefits. It is not insurance and does not include parts unless stated in writing.
Can I cancel the monthly membership?
Yes. Monthly members may cancel anytime. Benefits end when the membership is no longer active.
Are refurbished appliances new?
No. Refurbished appliances are pre-owned items that have been cleaned, checked, and prepared for resale. Availability changes often.
